FAQ’S ABOUT IDYLLWILD JAZZ IN THE PINES:

Q.  What time do the gates open?  Music start?  Music end?

A.  The gates open at 10:00 AM and the music starts at 10:30.  The three venues have staggered closing times as follows:  Saturday; the Main Stage closes at 6:00 PM, followed by the Barn (Stephens Recital Hall) at 6:30, and the French Quarter at 7:00.  Sunday closing times are; Main Stage, 5:00 PM, the Barn, 5:30 and the French Quarter 6:00.

Q.  What happens if I need First Aid during the festival?

A.  There is a First Aid station staffed by trained nurses during the festival.  Also, there are certified EMT’s patrolling the grounds all weekend.

Q.  Can I bring food and beverages into the festival?

A.  FIRST AND FOREMOST, PEASE BE REMINDED THAT THIS EVENT IS A FUNDRAISER FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR IDYLLWILD ARTS STUDENTS,
therefore, we try to provide a vast  selection of foods and libations for your pleasure.  We also abide by State and County regulations which prohibit food, glass and containerized beverages from being brought onto the festival grounds.  You may bring sealed bottle water.   Picnic baskets and coolers are not allowed.  Any attempt to bring alcohol onto the grounds will meet with confiscation and disposal.  All attendees are subject to search by authorities for security reasons.

Q.  May I smoke on the festival grounds?

A.  Yes, there are designated safe areas provided for smoking.  You may smoke ONLY in those areas.

Q. Is there Disabled Persons access?

Q.  Can I film/record the festival.

A.  No.  Flash for photos, lasers of any kind, and audio and/or video recording devices are not allowed.

Q.  May I bring my pet with me? 

A.  Only Companion Dogs accompanying disabled persons are aloud.

Q.  Can I bring a chair in to sit on?

A.  Yes, but only chairs with backs no higher than 32” are allowed in respect to those who sit behind you.  This applies to large sun hats, too.

Q.  Can I have my cell phone with me?

A.  Yes, of course, but out of courtesy to other attendees and performers, you will be asked to turn it off during the shows.

Q.  How much do children's tickets cost?

A.  Children under 12 are admitted free if accompanied by a paying adult.
