Clayton Cameron's Clifford

Biography

Clayton Cameron, called “genius,” by bebop legend Max Roach, is one of jazz's innovative forces on drums.  He has toured with icons of jazz Joe Williams, George Shearing, Joe Pass, Hank Jones, Kenny Burrell, James Moody, and Benny Green to name a few.  If that weren't enough he was the drummer for the World's Greatest Entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr., for 8 years until the legend passed.   He also toured with Sammy and his Rat Pack friends Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin in 1988 to 89 on their Together Again Tour.

Cameron was an integral part of Mr. Tony Bennett's 1992 resurgence that lead to a 15 year touring and recording schedule resulting in 14 Grammy awards and several Emmys.  Other recordings and performances range from Jazz to pop music with such artist as Ray Charles, BB King, Stevie Wonder, KD Lang, Billy Joel, Kurt Eling, Jennifer Hudson, Maria Carrie, The Isley Brothers, Patti Label, and John Mayer to name a few.  The Brush Master’s honors continue with having performed for four United States Presidents including Presidents Regan, Clinton, GW Bush and our current United States President Barrack Obama. Several Royal Command Performance for the Queen of England including her 60th Year Jubilee Celebration add yet another bright star in Cameron’s Career.
            The Brush Masters 2012 CD release entitled Clayton Cameron and the Jass Explosion, A Tribute to Art Blakey made it to the top 3 for airplay across the country..   Clayton Continues to produce, write and perform all over the world bringing  his brand of jazz and drumming to new heights.
